Card by Sarah Moore
"This card I created was inspired by those crazy
lacquered/modge-podge wood plaques we all had
hanging in our bedrooms in the 70's... I swear that's
almost the SAME OWL! All papers/inks by Stampin'
Up!; Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, More Mustard, Kraft,
and Very Vanilla Paper.... and the same shades in
inks... plus Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie and Summer
Sun. I watercolored the owl, called "
70's Owl", direct
from the ink pad with an Aquapen. I further sponged it
and distressed the edge with my Cutter Kit (by SU!). It
is mounted with Dimensionals and gold brads on a
rectangle of sweded Chocolate Chip Paper. The
background was created with the stamp "
Acorn and
Leaves". I fancied the ribbon embellishment with
Stampin' Up! On Board Accents sponged with Old
Olive Classic Ink. The new Petals and Paisley Paper
from the Spring Mini is masquerading as one strip of
ribbon... I also stamped over it to further disguise it!
The other ribbons are SU!'s Twill tape, also stamped,
and some VERY 70's inspired ribbon by Prima. AND
all those polka dots; on the twill tape and the
background, are created with a pencil eraser! The
perfect DOT! A small oval punch frames the cool
Sideshow Stamps sentiment "
Heck Yeah!"... groovy!"

"Cowboy Card:

"I stamped the cowboy image twice, once on wood grain paper, and
again on red patterned paper. I cut out his "chaps" from the red paper
and adhered them to the first image, colored in his bandanna, used a gold
paint pen to highlight his cuff links, distressed the edges, and set 3 star
eyelets randomly around him. I matted him twice and using pop dots,
adhered him to the card base I made using Cosmo Cricket PP. I then set
4 more star eyelets in the corners and threaded jute twine around the
perimeter of the card, tying a knot and loop for added texture on the left
side. I stamped the "hey hipster!" sentiment below and was done!"

The stamps used are our
Retro Cowboy - J431I, and
Hey Hipster - J406C.

Thanks for your "HIP" card contribution Dana!

Here is another beautiful card by Dana Seymour

"The flower image is from Sideshow Stamps, the sentiment is from
Papertrey, and the PP is Basic Grey. Square pink brads are MM, green
card base is SU, grey CS is Bazzill. I stamped the flowers in flower image
with a pale grey ink onto the BG paper to tie it in with the flower accents
on top. For those, I stamped onto pale yellow vellum with chalk ink, clear
embossed them, and used a Galaxy white marker to color on the back. I
punched out circles of inked CS and applied Crystal effects and glitter to
make the centers. After cutting them out, they curled on their own and I
pop dotted them onto the card front. A very simple card as far as LO
goes."

The stamp she used is our
Flowers in Flower - N24F.

This is truly beautiful Dana. Thanks!!!

"...This card is late for it's destination. Inside it says, "I hope your job
interview goes just as well!" and I made it for a male friend of mine who
was interviewing for a new job. The sentiment (I think) came from a bin of
UM rubber at a stamp convention I went to in Vegas last April at the
Carmen's Veranda booth... PP is Chatterbox, CS is SU, ribbon is
unknown, and ink is Ranger archival."

The stamp she used is our
Frightened Man - N130F.

Thanks for making this cool Masculine card Dana!
Here is a cute one by Dana Seymour

"I had a small piggy bank JUST like this stamped one when I was little.
Only it was white with pinkish flowers on it. I made a few different
versions of this card using the pink color but they just didn't look "right" to
me, so this one ended up being the final draft.  I based this color combo
off the SU ribbon originals I had and went from there. I stamped the retro
sparkle star with three colors of chalk ink (that matched the ribbon
exactly) randomly onto white CS. I then stamped the piggy bank in black
and colored it in by sponging yellow ink on it and using small grey
blending stumps to pick up ink and color in the flowers and leaves. I then
used my french grey prismacolor pencils to added highlights and shading.
I matted it with a giga scalloped circle punch, then pierced holes and
ringed them with white gel pen. Ran a piece of kraft CS through a
cuttelbug folder, added some more ribbon from SU and I was done!"

The stamps she used on this card are our
Piggy Bank - J366G, and
Sparkle Star - J298C.

This one is very creative and cute Dana, thank you!

"Our oldest (Sticky-fingers) is having a birthday
soon so I've been fiddling around with what type
of BD card I want to give him. He loves
creatures of any kind, so I made this one up last
night using some of my Sideshow stamps.....The
center is an old type-writer key embellishment I
bought years ago. I only bought a few, and 8
happened to be one of them!
I had so much fun coloring in these funky, retro
images after stamping them with black ink!
SUPPLIES: PP is unnknown (from a
Self-addressed kit in June 05), stamps are Side
Show Stamps, ribbon is from
www.Reallyreasonableribbon.com, white card
base is from DCWV, CS is SU, ink is Ranger
Archival, prismacolor pencils."

The stamps she used are our
Retro Frog - J433E,
Retro Fish - J425D, Retro Crab - J424D,
and our Pinstriped Black Widow - J432C.

Thanks for making this cool kid's card Dana!

"These hipster note cards were simple to make. After
stamping the images on these small Stampin' Up!
notecards I used paper piecing techniques to create the
outfits of these cool cats! The papers are by Making
Memories (the guy's outfit) and Stampin' Up! (the gal's
outfit).  All you have to do is just stamp the image again
on patterned papers, cut it out section by section, and
glue in place. It's a simple technique with great results!
The other details on the card were colored with Stampin'
Up! Markers."

The Stamps are;
Beatnik Boy - J334I, Beatnik Girl -
J332H, and Cool - J405B.

"This card is inspired by a tote bag I own from Old
Navy... I like the "americana" feel it has. Sort of reminds
me of 50's advertising.  Stamps are from Sideshow
Stamps.  Ink: Brilliant Blue, Summer Sun Marker.
Paper: Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White.
Accessories: White Grosgrain, Star Punch from Target
$1 spot, Oval Punches by Stampin' Up!, Slit Punch from
Stampin' Up!, 1/8" Circle Hand Punch, Paper Piercing
tool by Stampin' Up!, Cutter Kit from Stampin' Up!

I used the Cutter kit to create the "swooshy" cut at the
bottom of the card. The scallops on the top were
created with the slit punch. I made a bunch of tags and
just spaced them apart on top to get that striped look.
Hard to see in the pic, but the oval sentiment is actually
inside of the card and peeks through the front."

The Stamps are;
Hot Dog Kid - J359E, and Far Out! -
N11E.
Thanks for your neat patriotic card contribution Sarah!

"I adore this little hula hooper with his coonskin cap! He looked so striking
stamped in Basic Black I just left him "as is" and brought the color in with this
wild paper (by K&Company) and the rainbow stared ribbon (maker unknown).
The card base is by Stampin' Up! and the words "good times" are rub ons by
American Crafts."

The stamp she used is our
Hula Hoop Kid - J67D.

Thanks for your cute retro card contribution Sarah!

This card is another cool creation by Dana Seymour

"I stamped the circus elephant - J370G on the green, and again on light pink and dark pink.
I cut out the light pink one and adhered her to the green, then cut out her decorative throw
from the dark pink and pieced it on top. I colored some parts in with white gel pen to make
it stand out more too.
I stamped a diamond BG (Hero arts) onto the pale pink panel with versamark ink to keep
with the fun theme and doodled around the burgundy CS with my white gel pen. The strip
of PP matches perfectly, doesn't it? I found that in the scrap pile too, but I'm not sure who
makes it. After adding the pink brads (MM) and the white ribbon with the sentiment  -
J410C - on top I declared it done!

Thanks for another creative card contribution Dana!

This Mushroom Card is also by Dana Seymour

The mushrooms and the sentiment are from Sideshow Stamps - Mushrooms -
J407E - and Heck Yeah - J408C. The polka dot circle is from Purple Onion
Designs, and the other double circle is from Scrapgoods. Ribbon is from MM,
ink was Ranger black archival, Cat's Eye chalk, and Hero Arts versacube. All Cs
is from SU!, clear EP is from Sparkle & Sprinkle. I used Zig markers to quickly
add some color to the mushrooms. I also used white gel pen to color in the dots
and circles on the Kraft background.

Thanks for your neat new cards Dana!!

Both of these cards are by Dana Seymour

"Give a girl the right shoes..."
"The awesome patterned paper is from Paper
Mojo. The legs/shoes stamp is from Sideshow
Stamps -
J43F- , and I have no earthly clue
what company makes the sentiment. The melon
CS is Bazzill, the blue and white are SU!. The
ribbon came from a swap, the button brad is
MM, and I used a white gel pen to outline the
edges of the scalloped oval and to faux stitch. I
used Prisma color pencils to color the image in.

"Owl Love You Forever"
"Owl stamp by Sideshow stamps -
J454G -,
letter stamps by Karen Foster, ribbon from
Michael's, ink is StazOn and SU!, prismacolor
